In 2014, Christopher co-founded District Real Estate Advisors with Tim Bulman for the purpose of providing retail real estate clients with a targeted and specialized approach that delivers solutions. Mr. Mearn specializes in landlord and tenant representation, retail acquisitions & dispositions, site selection and retail roll-out assignments.
Mr. Mearn has over 15 years of commercial real estate experience covering much of the New England market. During his career as a retail broker, Mr. Mearn has worked with a broad spectrum of high profile urban landlords, developers and prominent shopping center owners like Inland Real Estate Group, Wilder Associates, Boylston Properties, Equity Residential, Boston Properties, Crosspoint Associates, Linear Retail, New England Development, Rubicon Real Estate, The Copley Group, The Flatley Company and Simon Properties. Mr. Mearn also specializes in representing, assisting and handling expansion plans for regional and national retail tenants including Dig Inn, Charles Schwab, Anna's Taqueria, SEE Eyewear, Expressions, Miniluxe, Blackbird Doughnuts, Stephanie's and Foumami. Mr. Mearn also works with many local entrepreneurial tenants like Jugos, Roxy's, Wholeheart, and Hopsters developing brick and mortar strategy plans.
Mr. Mearn graduated from Babson College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and prior to cofounding District Real Estate Advisors, Mr. Mearn served as Vice President of Leasing and Acquisitions for Rubicon Real Estate from 2009 - 2014. His primary responsibilities included all aspects of leasing, investment acquisitions and asset management.
Mr. Mearn routinely dedicates time and resources to assisting the Greater Boston Food Bank in packing, loading and delivering items to local neighborhoods throughout the area. Mr. Mearn is as an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
